Rose Drawings Workbook

The Rose Drawings workbook shows you how to draw five different roses and paint six different watercolor backgrounds. It gives ideas for layering the watercolor with the drawings, lettering options, and even some printable finished drawings (via the PDF version). Filled with lots of pictures to break down the process, it’s sure to get you on your way to creating your own beautiful rose drawings with watercolor backgrounds.

Calligraphy supplies

I will choose one of my favorite straight calligraphy pens (depending on stock: marbled silver and black, walnut colored or teal) to use with two different calligraphy nibs, a Nikko G (firm flex drawing nib) and a Hiro 41 (medium flex). You will also find a gray lint-free cleaning cloth to wipe the ink off of your nib and a small sample of my favorite calligraphy lettering and drawing ink, black sumi ink. You will also find a card explaining how to prepare your nibs for their first use. If you don’t prepare them, the ink will not stick to the nibs.

Watercolor paints

I have included my favorite student grade watercolor paints. These paints have enough pigment to look professional even in your practice. I recommend starting with a student grade set to keep your costs down as you learn and practice.
