The kit comes with several drawings lightly printed on watercolor paper to use as guides as you paint, and two pieces of blank watercolor paper to use as you please. If you choose paint dots, all you’ll need is a brush and a paint palette (or paper plate) to get started. With each kit, you’ll get printable worksheets. One worksheet demonstrates watercolor techniques you can use; another worksheet tells you how to paint two tulip paintings step by step; and the last worksheet gives you more ideas to use as you keep painting.

How to Use Watercolor Kits:

Paint: Peel the paint off the wax paper and place in a paint palette or on a paper plate. Add water. Mix until smooth. Add more water if you want a lighter color and less water if you want a darker color. 

Drawings: Use your colors to play with watercolor techniques. Refer to the printable worksheets for some ideas. Tape the edges of your paper to a smooth surface to keep your artwork flat as you work with water and paint. When dry, gently remove the tape.
